UK football fan fest coming to Owensboro this month

University of Kentucky football fans will have a chance to meet several players at “Blitzing the Boro” on August 26 at the Owensboro Sportscenter. The event will run from 1-5 p.m. and features upwards of 30 current Wildcats.

Fans will have the opportunity to purchase player merchandise and exclusive memorabilia. There are also prizes and activities for kids.

“Fans will get to interact and take pictures with players,” said player manager Kenya Kinard. “There will also be a question-and-answer session with a celebrity host.”

Devin Leary, Barion Brown, Dane Key, Ray Davis, and Deone Walker are some of the players scheduled to attend.

“This is the ultimate fan fest that brings together the passion and energy of the Kentucky community,” Kinard said. “Get ready to shake hands, take pictures, and capture memories as you meet your favorite players up close and personal.”

Tickets to the event are $25 for general admission, with VIP tickets available for $50. Kids under the age of 12 can attend for free.

The 15 Club is organizing the event, while Triple Crown Realty is the presenting sponsor.
